Lejog day 21 Corbridge to Longframlington
First of all I must give a mention to the Dyvels Inn at Corbridge. We received a great welcome. Storing the bikes was no problem at all; the food and beer were good; the room was clean and comfortable; and the art work both in the room and the pub was something to behold! A young couple are running it and they've only been there nine weeks. They're doing a great job. Everyone must stay there if you're ever in that area - it's a nice area too!
Today we've cycled for 34 miles up six hills with 2300 feet of ascent to visit our daughter Helen, son-in-law Andrew and grandchildren Isla and Tom in Longframlington. We received a great welcome (as shown on video) and got here much earlier than expected. We're so fast you see!
The route today has been one of the best, nearly all of it along quiet country lanes with very little traffic. The weather yet again has been great and the Northumberland landscape is beautiful.
Another day in Northumberland tomorrow out to the coast to spend a night at Seahouses. Rain is possible! What's that like?!
