35 memories from 35 days of cycling

Ok, there's 44 photos but I couldn't miss out the ferret, the beer and the puffin hats and some others!

 Day 1 let the journey begin

We're still fighting fit after 9 miles at St Michael's Mount!

 


                                             Day 2 The Shepherd's Hut near Perranporth

                                                      Day 3 On the way to Bodmin

                                                      Day 4 On Bodmin Moor - lovely up there!

                       Day 5 My one and only puncture at Launceston - a man passing by came to help


     Day 5 evening - the office converted into an apartment.   Great place with great view of Dartmoor

                                            Day 6 Fellow cyclists out for the day from Torbay

                                                 Day 6 evening - Bridge Hotel at Tiverton


     Day 7 Very dusty bikes after miles of canal towpath on the way to Bridgwater - the day I fell off!

                                                  Day 9 Severn Bridge - a bit windy!

                                             Day 10 Lejog signpost on the way to Hereford

        Day 11 The Cedars near Ludlow - a nice place to stay.    Bikes were stored in unused stables.

                                               Day 12 On the road to Ironbridge - still smiling!

                                           Day 18 Halfway house - home again for three nights

                                Day 19 Fellow Eden Runner David Lea escorted us to the top of Hartside

                                  Day 21 Arriving at Helen and Andrew's in Longframlington

                                     Day 23 A slight detour to the causeway across to Lindisfarne

     
     Day 24 The Chain Bridge across the River Tweed to enter Scotland (photo below proves it!)

                              Day 33 Beautiful, peaceful Loch Fleet and welcome respite from the A9!

              
                        Day 34 It rained.     Bus shelters are handy in the rain like this one at Latheron.

Lejog day 1 Land's End to Hayle

 Great start. Sunny and breezy. Not too far! So pleased to get day 1 done. Called at St Michael's Mount en route. Fish and chips in the pub at Hayle this evening.  Got friendly with a ferret last night in the pub where we stayed. Tim was the man, Keigwin the ferret. 9 years old and Tim's best friend. Many thank yous to Sam and Louise for coming with us to Cornwall and driving all the way back to Cumbria today. Much appreciated.
