Lejog day 10 Chepstow to Hereford
Short one today you may be relieved to know - it's a bit late!
Great breakfast this morning at Parkfield B&B - it started with pineapple and other bits beautifully presented in two bowls on the table just waiting to be consumed (see photo).
After a hill straightaway the next three miles to Tintern along the Wye Valley was delightful and downhill! Monmouth was the last time we saw the river until we arrived at Hereford. One half mile section along the A49 was horrendously busy as was Hereford where we rode along the pavements!
We met up with a friend of mine from long ago this evening - Roger Davies and his wife Janice. They live at Upton upon Severn, not too faraway from Hereford. Roger and I used to go to the same church in Rochdale and played in the same table tennis team. We'd not seen each other since 1968! We enjoyed yet another Wetherspoons meal where half the things on the menu were temporarily unavailable. And they ran out of beer! A very pleasant evening nevertheless.
